In reality, these associations dont have much teeth. Besides, they can only campaign, not enforce. Two different roles we are talking about here. In terms of campaigning, somehow except for the newspaper article in which the fallen has posted, DSAS has not done much to reach out to the public about scams. And bear in mind DSAS' primary role. Its an association in the member companies comply by certain ethical selling guidelines. We are not as sophiscated as Malaysia, where MLM schemes are certified and issued licenses.
Consumer protection in Singapore has always been very poor relatively, i think SBA got more clout protecting businesses than CASE protecting consumers. Besides, CASE has admitted as much as before, if the offending company chose not to turn up for mediation, thats the end of the story.
At the end of the day, they can only campaign for causes, but not enforce. I think we got to be aware of the differences in the roles.
As for MTI and police, i think i made my points pretty clear in my previous post.
And please, even with other evidences, police so far has not acted against any MLM company...and we can simply give them this thread's link? Huh? -

there is conspiracy everywhere and we are lack of manpower in singapore enforcement. i personally felt that in security areas, singapore did a good job(erm, maybe singapore is a tiny red dot easy to handle?). anyway anyway, money cause no evil, is the human itself that turn things around. -

Since when did ywe see an offender gets caught easily by the law?
Since when did we see an court session which is simple and short?
Don't every court trial still have to go through the same process of investigation, gethering Sufficient Evidence to bring the person to justice?
If the offender is smart, than he/she will know how to cover and protect him/herself. (Especially those who have experience and brush against LAw before.)
Look at the NKF issue, they 'mis-used' the funds for a few years before they spotted the fraud isn't it.
Look at the guy who has being nickname 'one-eye-dragon' waiting for death sentence, he also can go and appeal.
Law will bring people to justice, but how fast will that be?
Before they can gather enough evidence, all we can do since we have inside news or evidence, we only can share, and those who believe us, will benefit.
For those who still is in Alice & Wonderland, at most they will last for a period more. There's already so many proven Newspaper Articles on Scams etc every frequent. So I don't think I need to comment and explain my knowledge and observations to rookies who don't even seem interested in helping themselves.
That's all I can say.
Neither do I want to continue to reply to every single thread, as there's still people who choose not to believe, so I will only reply to selective comments with regards to this thread or this topic from this point onwards.
Either those who are keen, PM me, or product Quality Comments than I'll reply accordingly.
I will still continue to read, but less of replying.
Advices are often doubt and ignore.

Something like after building this shopping centre they can get a casino license which allow them to open a casino. New members need to invest around USD 10,000 and the return is 200% over 4 years. Look like many people will suffer.

I did not say he insist, but this is a good tactic to divert and input more pressure into the topic right now by him.
I don't think you will understand what i say, but anyway, pls read up some strategy books and you will know what i mean. Its called "Jie Dou Sa Ren" and he might also use "Yi Jian Shuan Diao" in chinese, with this tactic.
Wonder if you guys know these tactics....hmm......
Anyway, If you all are so pissed off with Sunshine Empire, why not go there and make a fuss with the management for a reasonable reply, rather than looking at the monitor and yelling away your heart and soul......
