WWE: Stuck in a creative hole?

Who else here agrees that the WWE is really, really in need of new ideas right now?
I feel they should be moving on towards the future, not just staying around in the stale near-post-attitude era.
I appreciate Vince's attempt to recreate the Attitude Era, but if he thinks that just because ECW and DX are back, then we'll think it's the AE again, then he's dead wrong. He's begun bringing back all the popular things from the AE, like the Brothers of Destruction, and the Hardyz.
The ratings prove it:
1999 (Highest) RAW (Middle of the Attitude Era): 8.1
1999 (Lowest) RAW: 4.2
1999 (Highest) Smackdown!: 5.8
1999 (Lowest) Smackdown!: 3.5
2006 (Highest) RAW: 4.5
2006 (Lowest) RAW: 3.3
2006 (Highest) Smackdown!: 3.0
2006 (Lowest) Smackdown!: 1.9
Most storylines nowadays revolve around either "You have a title, so I hate you" or "You said something about me, now we will fight".
I know that the glory days of Rock vs Austin are long gone, but can't they at least move on, instead of staying in a pseudo-Attitude Era?
