The two spaniards, the future of LFC defence maybe? By the time Hyypia aged and retires, the kids will take over.Originally posted by Poolman:Benitez signed two more teenagers , both centre halve , a Spaniard and a Ghandanian . 17 yrs old for first team ?
The $$$ involved would cost a Gerrard. Worthy player that would solve the righ-hand side of the wings but kinda unrealistic.Originally posted by stellazio:Since benitez like spanish he should sign joaquin..Woah terrifying indeed..![]()
I think o'leary would give up baros rather than solanoOriginally posted by Redz:Interesting devt on Baros' case
Gérard Houllier, the Lyon manager, last night placed Milan Baros in a delicate dilemma when he lodged an astonishing £8.5m bid for the striker who, only two days ago, declared he had no intention of leaving Liverpool for France.
The Anfield club immediately accepted the offer from their former manager, who is armed with the £26m raised from Michael Essien's sale to Chelsea and has agreed to pay £1.5m above the asking price in order to drive his competitors out of the market for the Czech Republic international.
Baros revealed he had agreed personal terms with Aston Villa earlier this week, even though Liverpool had not accepted their improved offer of around £6.5m, and had little interest in taking his goalscoring talents across the Channel. "I have nothing against the French league," he said in response to interest from Lyon and Monaco, "but I consider the leagues in England and Spain to be the best ones."
Houllier's move will extend a saga that Baros had hoped to resolve with a move to the Midlands today. Liverpool will not grant the striker his wish unless Villa now match Lyon's offer, either in monetary terms or by adding Nolberto Solano to the proposed deal, while Baros's reluctance for a reunion with Houllier will continue to place the Anfield club's transfer plans on hold.
Now let's hope Villa panic n agree the deal tat incl. Solano *fingers crossed*

MILAN BAROS will finally complete his £6.75million move from Liverpool to Aston Villa today.
The Czech striker will leave Anfield as Stelios Giannakopoulos is poised to arrive on Merseyside in a £2m deal from Bolton.
Baros, 23, has been chased by Villa for the past month and David O’Leary got his man when the player refused to join former Kop boss Gerard Houllier at Lyon even though the French champions had made a £8.5m bid.
But Baros snubbed Houllier after being left on the bench for long periods during his final season in charge at Anfield.
Now Liverpool have agreed a straight cash deal with Villa and the fact that Nol Solano is not part of it means Rafa Benitez has settled on £2m wide-boy Stelios, 31, to solve his right-wing problem.
Kop boss Benitez will now use the remaining cash to bring in at least one centre-back with BrondbyÂ’s Daniel Agger and Stuttgart defender Fernando Meira the favoured duo.
Agger, 20, was hugely impressive in DenmarkÂ’s 4-1 win over England a week ago and Liverpool will check him out again when he faces Ajax in the Champions League tomorrow.
Yet while he will cost up to £6m, Portuguese central stopper Meira, 27, is available for as little as £2m.
Liverpool scouts revealed Benitez was chasing Agger and the Liverpool chief confirmed the news yesterday.
He admitted: “I have read in the Press about centre-backs and the information was correct.
“We have been linked with a lot of players and I need to talk with Rick Parry to see what we can do.
“I would like at least two new players — maybe two centre-backs — but we will have to see how much money we have available.”
Baros will complete the formalities of his move to Villa tomorrow.
