Hamann set to extend Anfield deal
Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann is poised to agree a 12-month extension to his contract at Anfield.
He signed a new deal in the summer that included a clause allowing him to extend it during the season.
Hamann, 32, who joined the club from Newcastle in 1999, has made 17 appearances for the Reds this season.
The Germany international had been linked with a move to Bolton or Hamburg but opted to stay in the wake of Liverpool's Champions League triumph.
Hamann, who has 57 caps for Germany, started his career at Bayern Munich before moving to Newcastle in 1998.
He has made 166 appearances for the Reds, scoring eight goals.
Hamann has also been linked with Bundesliga sides Schalke 04 and VfB Stuttgart in the past.
He is worth every single cent since he joined us in 1999 .
He fully deserve the new extension to his current contract .
I , for one , is glad he'll eventually finished his footballing career at Anfield .
He needs a testimony to justify his worth .

Its good to see that Hamann is willing to stay and fight for his place. Many other players will have taken the chance to jump ship.

First half 3-0 to Milan ....... 2nd half Didi was introduced ..... Did stopped playmaker Kaka effectively , so effectively that Shevchenko and Crespo hardly got any services to kill Liverpool off !
That's what Didi did that night , spoilt party guy !
