Fabio Aurelio signing for Liverpool FC

The local media have finally caught up with the news that Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez is keen on signing Valencia left-back Fabio Aurelio.
The Brazilian international is available on a Bosman in the summer and Rafa would like to bring the 26-year-old to Anfield.
Contact has already been made with the player who has already indicated he is up for the switch. Personal terms shouldn't be a problem.
Other clubs are interested and that is really the only concern at this time.
Formal talks are expected to take place before the end of the month. -

Looking at the Arsenal vs Liverpool match , Benitez had looked relatively pissed off by some bizarre defending by Traore , if this Brazilian really do sign for us , it'll looked like Traore will be off-load back to France first hand .
And with those mistake by Warnock that caused us the defeat to Benfica , Benitez will be looking for a more steadier left back . -

brazilian can't defend..maybe benitez is going for a more attacking minded policy next season..since the defensive stability more or less done..

Are u sure ? Liverpool have reportedly won the race to sign Brazilian defender Fabio Aurelio.
According to newspaper reports, the Reds have seen off competition from Manchester United and Olympiakos to sign the 26-year-old Valencia left-back, who is available on a free transfer after failing to agree a new deal with the Spanish club.
The defender will be offered a four-year deal worth £25,000 a week and would become the first Brazilian to sign for Liverpool.
Aurelio played under Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez for three seasons at Valencia, winning two La Liga titles and the UEFA Cup, and is expected to challenge John Arne Riise for a first-team place at Anfield.
The move could see Djimi Traore and Stephen Warnock heading for the exit door as Benitez looks to freshen up his squad in the summer.
If Aurelio agrees terms, he would become Liverpool's third signing for next season, with winger Mark Gonzalez and defender Gabriel Paletta having previously confirmed summer switches.

u see brazil national team starting centre back is lucio and roque junior..
and he's also good,becuz benifa's team work hard for him..
this left back is attacking minded one..he scores quite alot of goals each season.. -

Aurelio can play centre half too. Useful when LFC plays with a flat 3
For me, if Rafa does make a move for the brazilian defender. It marks the end of Traore.
It's like getting a replacement for Traore.
