sale of murphy will raise $$$, but liverpool will lose a player who can turn a game ard. although $3million isnt a lot.
if Murphy stays, there will b no $$$ to spend, n all will depend on the CL match against Graz to determine if anymore new birds will b flying in. all muz pray hard dat liverpool will win, n get the $$$ to buy 1 more, juz 1 more midfielder.
(i said it many times, i will say it again. hope Rosicky or Maniche comes)

Murphy in mi opinion is quite ordinary. just someone
who can strike a freekick well...but not really a player
tt can dictate the pace of the game.

hate murphy, hate the way he plays...
he sleeps on the field till the ball touches his feet... and even if it does reach his feet, he'll need some time to wake up from the long sleep and next thing you know the opponent has nicked the ball from him, like taking candy from a baby. -

Xabu Alonso also played for Spain in that Euro2004 , thought he don't played that well !
He is the main play-maker for R.Sociedad , he drove the team on from midfield , can imagine he and S.Gee will be a good combination !
Now I know what Benitez is up to ... and why he told Murphy he has limited chances for the first team !
He needs two super hardworking midfielders in the middle , and S.Gee and Alonso fits that bill ! -
