It is worn by winners of the Overall Unit Proficiency Award Gold Award at the NPCC Day Parade or Singapore Youth Festival Opening Ceremony.
The cadets at these schools may also have a chance to wear it in parades in school like National Day, opening ceremonys etc. -

lol. this year i guard of honour. but my school dun haf no.1 uniform. we wear the no.3 working dress. besides that, we dun use M16s with bayonet in front.
we use the lousy antique marks5. used in world war2.
hope next year me can be PARADE COMMANDER

Damn... My school's NPCC rule is that only when minister come then can wear... Almost had a chance to wear it but it was the 49th speech day. They must wait until the 50th then invite the minister... By that time im already out of secondary school. Unless I come back as a CI

my teacher officer is getting 15wooden m16s.
btw, marks5 quite heavy. learned how to sedia and senang di-ri with marks5 last week my all time fav command is " BARIS TA'AT SETIA, SEDIA! " -

I wear number one before in tracom... the best is national day one.. still can keep the number one... or you can get married and still wear the number one.. also can..
