TP vs speedsters

I have been following the barrage of letters from motorists nabbed for speeding. It seems that many of them were unaware that they were going above the legal limit at the time of offence (remember the guy who got 3 tickets on the same day?) and are deeply unhappy with the lack of warning signs.
Yes, things appear to be looking up for now, after new measures (refer to this thread) get put in place. However, the question about the tactics involved and statistics used remain.
Were there any TP personnel driving their squad cars recklessly even though they were off duty, as claimed by some forumites? Also, are people penalised more harshly for speeding more than 10km/h above the speed limit as compared to those who were caught for being 10km/h over limit? -

They are a bunch of whiners.....houndy included.
They are flouting traffic rules, and they know it. Why do they only complain about the silly traffic laws after they are booked for it?

I guess what he means is he drive a rally car or a sports car.... Probably TPs will take note of these kind of cars more often and do checks on them or aim their speed cams at them more often than normal cars.
