I have been following the barrage of letters from motorists nabbed for speeding. It seems that many of them were unaware that they were going above the legal limit at the time of offence (remember the guy who got 3 tickets on the same day?) and are deeply unhappy with the lack of warning signs.
Yes, things appear to be looking up for now, after new measures (refer to this
thread) get put in place. However, the question about the tactics involved and statistics used remain.
Were there any TP personnel driving their squad cars recklessly even though they were off duty, as claimed by some forumites? Also, are people penalised more harshly for speeding more than 10km/h above the speed limit as compared to those who were caught for being 10km/h over limit?
