Yes there is, i believe it's white bars also just like SAF OCTs.Originally posted by fireexit:Hi so Inspector is like 2LT in SAF but must salute SI too... Is there some kind of OCT rank when u r a trainee?
Anyway thanks for the input
Just curious...why do you say you are "gonna finished" your hons deg soon, when my understanding is the semester has already finished? I do wonder if you are in the same grad class as I am!Originally posted by fireexit:Hi there, im gonna finished my hons degree soon and thinking of a police career. used to be a guardsman but only a cpl. i understand that SPO are officer equivalent so am i eligible to apply since i not a officer or specialist back then.

Another interesting thing is that while SAF Officer Cadets , regardless of service status, i.e. NSF or regular will have to put on the white bars during trainee days and most probably go through the same syllabus, it is quite different for SPF Senior Officer Trainees.Originally posted by cornyfish2000:Yes there is, i believe it's white bars also just like SAF OCTs.
Sometimes i really wonder, does paying of compliment that important that every single one here will want to know before joining that respective uniform group...Originally posted by fireexit:Hi so Inspector is like 2LT in SAF but must salute SI too... Oh so NSPIs do not undergo the 'C' Course with the OBS course and Nepal training? Is it the same duration (9 months?) as the 'C' course?Originally posted by malcolmloke:Another interesting thing is that while SAF Officer Cadets , regardless of service status, i.e. NSF or regular will have to put on the white bars during trainee days and most probably go through the same syllabus, it is quite different for SPF Senior Officer Trainees.
Regular Senior Officer Trainees do not put on white bars during their trainee days. They have a black shoulder epaulette with silver strip.
OCTs are mostly cross-over from SAF BMTC although in recent batches there are some Police NSF in the OCT course. They wear the white strips as mentioned and are known as OCTs. They have a different course as compared to the regular senior officers trainees.

Hmmm.. regular trainees wear 1 silver bar.. something like the bar of a 2LT? I've never seen that before..
