  How come SPF does not have Lance Corporal rank? SAF and SCDF have Lance Corporal rank. I think SPF should introduce Lance Corporal rank for NSFs.

  cos it'll be werid to call someone a 'police lance corporal'. sounds nicer calling him a police corporal or police sergeant.

  they reallie dun have meh? could it be tt u dun see them on streets? then how about those lowly-educated PO? Do they go in and have their 1st rank as CPL and not LCP?

  Any police officer here can confirm this? CISCO has Lance Corporal rank. Anyway, I am suggesting that only police NSFs and NSMENs will be given Lance Corporal rank just like SAF and SCDF. I understand that the minimal rank for a regular police officer is Corporal.

  Erm....the SPF used to have the LCP rank until it was removed in a shake-up of the rank system a few years ago. LCP isnt the only casualty. The basic Constable rank was removed too (for regulars).
  
  PNSFs have a different rank structure compared to their SAF peers. They go from SC to SC/CPL and then to SC/SGT before ORDing, assuming they possess a diploma/A level and passes promotion requirements (such as IPPT). That said, I have seen some jumping straight to SC/SGT.
  
  The minimum rank of a regular is indeed a Corporal. Ditto for VSCs.

  Gurkhas still have lance corporal rank. For ranks you can take a look at Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singapore_Police_Force#Ranks
