  Folks.
  
  I miss some really beautiful alastians from the K9 units.
  
  Understand that PO with landed properties can adopt 2 to keep in their homes.
  
  Can we do so also?

  Provided u or your relative live in private estate, as K9 dogs are not allow in HDB.

  Any idea what is the procedures?
  
  I know that sometimes they have to put down some really beautiful animals whenever they need new ones.
  
  So I like to be able to salvage some.

  look into papers, they would post it there. then u go and apply.

  Why would they need to advert in the papers when the adoption is open only to POs?

  No,
  for K9, they would ask the person who took care of the dog first, if the person dont wish, they would ask around the unit. then the last resort is to advert in papers. then is open to public.

  These are highly trained dogs.
  
  What are the criterias then to adopt such dogs?
  
  I was only told that these dogs are allowed for adoption by POs. Not for members of public.
  
  Also, is there a basic training course for non dog handling POs to atttend in order to keep and control these dogs?
