Lost I/C

  Hi all,
  Just lost my I/C ytd. Am gonna make a new I/C tml at ICA, but I've got a query. If I'm stopped outside by police and have to produce my I/C. Will producing a photocopied version be good enough?

  make a police report and bring it with you if you fear of being stopped.

  Its not a crime in not carrying your IC with you.
  
  Bring your passport if you scared.

  You juz need to have a document with you that has a photo IC number and your name on it for identification purposes.

  Its not an offence if u dont carry ur ic with u. if police check u can still provide ur particulars verbally to the officer.

  don't have to show them anything.
  If they want to further verify, then just show them any card which have your photo and name on it.

  K, nw i sibei kia si already...$100 to replace I/C. Damn it!
  
  On a 2nd note...I just received my driving license, when driving, if kena pull over by police, ask for Driving License, need to show the actual Driving License or Photocopy also can?

  If you got the paper, show the paper, got the card, show the card, don't have either, you shouldn't be driving in the first place.

  Just telling u that photocopied IC are allowed. That means you use your original IC and photocopied it and you bring the photocopied one out, leaving the real IC at home. That way you won't lose it, however DO NOT photocopied it in colour, it must be black and white. It is a crime to photocopy it in colour.
  
  Informations given from the ICA officer the last time I go and attend some business (forgot about it) and got told off for for photocopying my IC in colour.

  Colour copies not cheap to make leh. Need licence to own a colour photocopier even. Got lobang share leh.

  The photocopied I mean is those paper type and you cut it and make it into an IC by laminating or something. If u want to try colour one and get caught, just use a scanner will do.
