My friends were slacking around under a HDB flag, this is what that took place
There were some who were underage smokers, and were smoking illegal cig(Catanime something like that). But soon after the police came, they start shouting at us who smoke and they search one with the illegal cig, after some time, they started to handcruff him with his hand on the back, and said things like you want to act punk, i can take out my shirt and challage you one on one, and also things like piercing nose= SS(secret society)? and soon after that the one that was handcruff was being bring back to station,
My question is, are they allowed to handcuff and bring him to the car with so many ppl watching and also to give such comment -
Even they do it, what can you do about it?

Btw, i have encountered such situations numerous times before minus the illegal smoking. I have had no problems.
Like they say, respect others when u want urself respected.
I can make a safe bet that the kids were trying to challenge authority and being arrogant or incooperative.
If u give the officers a hard time, expect the same in return. -
Are they your friends? If not, how do you know that they're underaged?

i wasn't one of them as i was above the age, but seeing my friend being handcruff i was about to approach the policeman and shout at him. It isn't like he killed someone and he pleaded nicely to the policeman. but smoking illegal substances is something that warrants an arrest if i'm not wrong.
so wad else could the officers do if they had to arrest him? coax him nicely into the car? there were a bunch of u and just tthe 2 of them if i got the situation correctly?
wad would u do in this situation that can turn nasty in an blink of an eye? -

Anyway, the officer will exercise his offical powers to handcuff the subject if he is found to have offend the law. -

the policeman just came and shout who have cig rather then asking in a serious tone. The kids told me that they shown some attitude as the policeman just came and shout, and when they plead not to handcruff him, the policeman told them if they wanted him to handcruff them as well. And he also one of the policeman pushes one of the boy who was a bit arrogant to him several times as hard as he moves back a few step. -

If the police do not handcuff the person. During the process of walking to the car, the person runs away. Whose fault is it? The policeman fault.

We live in the world of coloured lenses.
Think about it.. 8 malay youths loitering around a void deck? I was surprised the police didn't manhandle and search all of them. Bring all of em back to the station for good measure.
I bet it would easily constitue as an illegal gathering if the police wanted to construe it as such.
