  @Whyzee: Ya the haze is really bad. I am wondering whether my orientation will be affected anot :( Its torturing to stay indoor for the past few days. At least you know that you are in for the AD manpower dialogue round, so dont worry too much. Jiayou and hopefully they reschedule you soon.

  @Haiz2006: Ya I think C5 means the fifth batch of the year. As for ratio wise, I am not very sure of it. Anyone can advise?

  yea the haze has caused all outdoor activities at hta to cease so there was no PT for the past week. 

  and yes, like what whyzee said, there will usually be direct intake for each squad tt will usually make up abt 1/3 of the squad, and the rank and file officers will come in abt 2mths later.

Can be lesser den 30 too. But they are trying to maximize the slots.  Usually direct intake will enlist first. After 3 months (basic police training phase), rank and file will join in to form a complete squad.

  @geckoian: at least you've confirm a placing in the force. I'm still trying to get in. Haha. Hope things work out fine for me. I wouldn't wan to missed C9 intake and get pushed to 2014 man.

  don't worry i'm sure you'll be in way before C9.. prolly C6 or C7.

  I still don't really get it on what is rank and file officers.. Since all degree student are SPO, means they are direct entry already? Confused. 

   

  Can I ask whether we have to do push-up in PTs?

  rank and file officers are those who have been promoted from the junior officer ranks after years of outstanding service.

  direct entry are those who have degrees and join as SOs directly.. hence the term 'direct entry'.

  yes static exercises such as push-ups are part of PT

  I waited for 4 weeks before I got a reply for AD dialouge. But was postpone due to haze last week.

  it's just to find out more about you.. it'll be a very detailed interview, takes about an hour (could be longer could be shorter, depending on how satisfied the psychologist is with your answers). usually they'll ask about you, your family, anything that has happened before etc.. in other words, they want to find out any issues that you may have which can render u unsuitable for the position.

  do anybody knows if your application was unsuccesful previously, how long must you wait before you can apply again?

  have been trying to reapply, but always back to the status of unsuccessful.

  Well, you'll have to wait for 6 months before your next application.

  Good day ladies and gents. I've attended SA on the 4th of June and have yet to hear from SPF. Is there anyone here who had went for SA during that period of time and have already received news regarding their application? Many thanks!

  Hi all, i just received notification for my SA on 10 July like finally. I sent my application at the start of May but i was overseas for a month, so i ended up spending 2 months in wait for the very first round. I hope i can squeeze in at least the last batch for the year, it looks difficult, judging from how long you guys waited...

  Anyone also going to the 10 July SA? Hope i'm not the only girl...

  Hi Jeln, I doubt you'll be the only girl at the Selection Assessment. During my session, more than half of the participants were female.

  After Medical check up... So long no replies..

  why would SPF waste resources to conduct medical yet still fail in the end... Unless my medical really CMI due to old injuries :(

  The next two intakes will take in more direct entry than rank and file personnels. Those haven received any rejection just hang in there. See u guys in the soon to be super crowded alpha coy soon :)
