I am not sure about PO but for SPO it should take about 4 weeks after the application window closes.

no news = good news but certainly this news aren't great too! Shouldn't have needle poking again I think, only parts pertaining to letter :(

Called them to ask why I need to go for another medical when I've went for one already haha. They said it's a mistake and to ignore that email. HAHA.

Well .. they wouldn't tell you when they will be informing of the final outcome ... they will just say wait for their call.

World wide waiting game indeed. I'm in my 5th week since SA, still no news on whether I'm moving ahead or rejected :/ Well, I'm starting on my internship, hopefully the timeline will line up properly for me

For the past three weeks plus, this forum has been so quiet. Everyone was just waiting and waiting I guess.
However, we are beginning to see the light with emails for medical checkup coming in! I just got mine yesterday. Anyone knows what the checkup comprise of? Chest X-ray, blood test, urine test (?)...what else?
For the rest still waiting, stay hopeful.

I recall there was:
1) Urine Test
2) Height, Weight, Eye Sight
3) Hearing Test
4) Drawing of Blood
5) ECG
6) Doctor asking general questions about health and taking blood pressure + a surprise check up if you're male.
7) Chest X-ray

I went for my medical on 17 May 2013, still no confirmation from them. I hope all is well.
I don't think I will be able to join the incoming intake on the 29th July. Strangely, I heard from a friend that his friend has been called up to join that intake last week already.

Oh my .... my medical was on the 5th June 2013. Looks like I have to wait longer then you.
Any idea when did your friend's friend apply and went for his medical ?

Hello guys, I have first applied for SPO in mid-April this year, and received the invitation to SA near end of May. However, I have requested to postpone the SA till June instead as I couldn't attend the SA during that time.
Until now, I still have not received any updates from the officer! Do you think I should send a follow-up email or just wait patiently? The status on Career @ SG is still "shortlisted".
Sigh, I'm really keen in the position. :(

Not too sure when he went for his medical. But I was told that he went for his panel on 26 Apr 2013.

Well ... from what you can see from the forum ... the whole process takes a very long time, lots of waiting time in between each stage. Therefore, must get used to waiting.
