Oh phew, I thought we had to complete the form on the spot. Thanks alot for the info! That means we don't really have to prepare any details before the SA right?
Oh i only finally emailed them in 25 June, some responded to my email on 1 july and i gotten my SA invitation on 3 July. But initially the email keep rebouncing back because their mailbox was full, haha. Yup, most of the form filling during SA are details that you would have known by your own. The rest you could just add back in the next round.
During my SA on 10 July, the officer did say if everything is going smoothly, it is possible for us to go in Oct batch, if not then Nov, or Dec. SO i think there is still tentatively a few more intake planned for this year??
Hi wyzee and weymas,
Because i read from other forums that they process the two things at the same time. Some of them got the psychologist interview an hour after the dialogue. In the end, didn't manage to go to the next stage coz he/she failed the dialogue. That's y i'm not very sure...=[
Today is a sad day for the police force....
Originally posted by weymas:yep as per whyzee's reply, if you get called up for the psychologist interview it means that you've passed the AD dialogue. u should start preparing for the board interview, since psychologist interview is a no fail stage.
Hi weymas,
how can I prepare for board interview? Any advise on this? Thanks!!

Well just be confident when u r answering their qns.. it can be quite daunting especially when the senior commanders ask u qns. They look very serious n will not smile, but dont be affected. They're just testing ur composure under stressful situations.
U dont have to rush, take a bit of time to think through their qns n come up with ur answer. As long as ur answers are logical and u r confident, u should b fine.
Good luck!
Any idea what will the psychologist ask?

The psychologist will ask u abt ur background in detail (e.g. ur family.members and their occupation, are u happy with ur famiky etc.) The psychologist will also ask u abt events in ur life, how u feel, what r u looking fwd to etc. It will take abt an hr for the whoe session.
Oic...kk...thanks!!

Paige : any news?
Anyone went to SPO medical checkup around 19 June 13 that week or close to still waiting for a reply?
how I wish they can be more straight forward, reject or pass really take super duper long.. What is the reason man? Maybe a stringent scanning because of kovan murder case and recent high corruption cases?
Try emailing or calling them? I think it will take about 2 months, according to previous posts.

1) yes contact lenses can be worn.
Contact lenses can be worn during training? Woah that comes as a surprise.. What about cosmetic things like concealer? (Would you have any idea? Haha sorry it's a silly qn)
Also, do you know if I can do lasik before training? My friend said that there might be a probation period for those who recently undergo lasik before they join the training..
And JeIn, thanks once again for the info! I have gotten a reply for my email saying they will try to put me in the slot next week, but I had to postpone again because I will be overseas from exactly that day till mid-Aug during to prior commitment. Sigh.. I hope they don't find me insincere :(

Hi weymas,
any egs of some of the questions they asked? is it those typical HR questions (where do u see yourself in 10 yrs time) or scenario questions?
thanks in advance!

Typically after lasik , you would be advised not to participate in high impact sports and swimming for maybe 3-4 weeks as well as not to get sweat into your eyes.

Im not too sure abt concealer.. though it wouldnt be a good idea since ure gg to sweat everyday.. especially when there's PT twice a day.
U might have to ask recruitment abt lasik, not sure abt tt either.

They'll ask u qns like why choose spf, do u see urself as a leader and what r the situations where u have shown leadership skills, where do u see urself in a few yrs etc. I dont recall any scenario qns during my interview. Their main objective is to know more abt u and whether u'll be a good fit for spf, so just be sure of what u want to say and just be confident.
Just completed my psychologist interview. Now time to wait for the panel to call. How long will it take?
