Anyone applied ?

I believe there were a few guys/gals (fresh grads) who did the Panel interview at the same time as myself but they have already gotten the offer call; think it was for the Oct/Nov batch..
So I guess they have their reasons for holding the applications for extended durations..
@Mindthegap
@Vin^K
I was told by the recruitment officers that December intake will commence training on 14th December 2015. I believe you guys might be getting your calls soon. Press on and all the best!
I just received rejection email from SPF yesterday. So disappointed and depressed about it. Just to check, need anyone tried to appeal after got rejected from the panel interview? If yes, is it successful? Wonder what's the success rate for such appeal.
Thanks!
@bloodymonko
when did you attend the panel ? After how long then you receive the reply ?
@WHATTTT Thanks a lot..all the best to u too !!! ![]()
Does anyone know if/when the offer is made..is it possible to differ the intake to a later period due to personal reasons ?
Or would it be like a "take it or leave it" kinda thing ?

@mindthegap
you waited for 6 month since you attended the Panel ? that is freaking long man
Anyone recently just attended Panel ? still waiting for offer ?
Hi there, chance upon this thread and there are some doubts I like to clear regarding joining SPF.
See, I am 27 this year, and have been wanting to sign on as a police for a long time. Unfortunately, during NS in the Army, I got injured and was down PES to C9L2. It was a torn ligament in the ankle which required surgery.
After the surgery, I feel fine again and went on to do a couple of marathons after ORD. Then worked for 4 years and at the same time during these 4 years, I obtained my part-time degree in NUS but result not very good.
I am still interested in signing on with SPF, and had made the effort to get a medical review from SAF to upgrade my PES. I've been waiting since June till now and still got no reply until I went to email them 2 weeks back and they called me to tell me hopefully can send me my result by end December. If my PES status got upgraded, I will confirm apply.
Here's my question:
- Will my chance of signing on be affected due to my past injury? I think I should be honest with the past injury because I have no records of IPPT for a long time.
- During the 4 years of work + studies, I have not really exercised, is there any form of physical test that we need to pass in order to be selected. I am now trying to do some training on my own.
- When do they usually take in new batch for trainings?
- I had silver bayonet during my term in SAF, will that increase my chance of getting chosen?
- How many interviews to go through before we are selected? Usually the whole process takes how long?

Ervinix, you attended the panel already?
I recently went for stage 3 psychologist interview, about one week ago. My small panel dialogue was the same day as u. You were in the morning session?

Thanks so much for the detailed explanation Mindthegap. It was really very helpful and kind of you!
I'm still waiting for SAF medical board to process my PES status though. Once my PES status is upgraded successfully (hopefully), will definitely apply immediately.
I wish you all the best for you application.
Goodluck to all applicants.
