Juz a qs:Any idea what the OCTs do...??? And for those NSmen in academy now, would u like to be one???? Coz heard rumors that they soon taking in SCs leh....

um, what does OCT stand for? Re the training, wat aspects of bmt is included? =)

anyway am interested in knowing wat sort of training OCTs undergo besides the running and swimming? e.g. confidence jumps from 2 storeys high (like npcc), obstacle courses, is there camping and stuff like tt?

u mean they taking Trainee SCs (TSCs) to become OCT? haha okok... seems like the complaints of the lao jiaos worked.....
its personal choice basis? or is it selection? got pros and cons lah... esp after u r posted out.....

cause they have too much manpower and no place to hold them

OCTs = 3mths in BMT in tekong. Den all chopped & listed to diff areas (OCS, OCTs, Sispec, MP, etc, etc). When goin for OCS or OCT coz, 9 more mths... in police terms for PNSF, its OCTs. Once posted out from police (1 yr in NS), they r called NSI. Den for "god noes how long", they rise rank to NSPI & draw $1K++...
Their rank is no diff from a typical Police inspector OR army Lieutenant (pronounced LEFT-tenant). BUT they finish service faster than a normal inspector lah (U noe wat I mean lah, guys...)
Some more MOST NSPIs r on NS sides, I noe for my area, ALL NSPIs r wif us. Thus no stabbin or power corrupt or watever U wanna call lah...
