have just recently been selected as a police officer and will be going to the police academy soon .... just wondering how should one go about joining the CID team ? is there a minimal rank requirement ? eg. inspector?

and at least a certain number of years doing IO job
as for rank
i dont really know
but i know that u dont have to be an inspector to be in CID
and CID dont get fresh men from police academy

er, sort of divert for a while. is it possible to apply for transfer to cnb or cpib after working in spf for a no of yrs? is successful trnsfr very rare?

usually an officer needs to have some divisional experiance before will be consider to be one of them... as for rank.... no rank requirement too..... any rank can join them..... hope this information helps....

its is not really possible to be TRANSFER to CNB or CPIB as they are two diff depts from SPF. but we are under one HOME TEAM which is the MHA(ministry of home affairs).... so u can apply thru your dept and see what they advice you....
