But if your min education level is too low, I don't think you can handle arms... become VC ( Vilgante Corps).

While it is true that ITE folks still end up doing NS in police, some of you should have noticed that they no longer accept non A level and Poly folks, and only taking them in on a case-by-case basis for the regular shemes.
I suspect this has something to do with the fact that the NPC system has required alot more "brain cells" from POs, something which our society's (typically high) reliance on judging people by their paper certs has not surprisingly deemed folks with less education as unsuitable for the job? -

If phased out liao, would there be enough trainees to do sentry duties? Wouldn't that be a serious drain in resoruces?Afterall VC are mainly to do sentry duties?

I was already surprised to find CISCO personal at Police HQ. Then I realised they are also manning PCC. And now what.....LEA as well? -

CISCO wise... maybe they are more experienced at guarding establishments? Their training revolve more around such duties?? Just a guess

Anyway there were some changes to the auxiliary police act recently right? Somehow I dont seem to get it if they are having more powers or less. They now cant seem to arrest anybody outside their areas of jurisdiction? -

I suppose I had my fair share of being gulty of "rudeness" even before I got a warrant card....still remember how I yelled at a teacher for bringing her kids across the road at the stadium area for the SYF parade 2 years ago despite us having set a proper crossing point further down the road... -
