  hi i have some question on PA
  
  1. is there a difference in training between the guys and gals?
  2. how's the pay while training in PA?
  3. when is the intake?
  4. how long do i have to wait after i send my application?

  Ans to question 1 : No difference, same kind of training
  Ans to question 2: You get the pay that you sign on either as CPL or SGT, after you pass out you still get the same pay. so better to stay in tracom
  Ans to question 3: For regular squad there is many intakes thru out the year as the squad size is small. Almost one intake each month
  Ans to question 4: The most is one month after you apply.

  here are the answer which is similiar to houndy's reply....
  
  1) there is no difference between guys and gals, but i believe you can use excuse like muscle cramp to avoid training when you are not feeling well during training.... some jobs like carrying heavy(and i mean really heavy) stuffs will be excused as a gal.... etc Of cos you will not be sleeping with the guys.... you have a company of your own with a female Coy commander...
  
  2) as for the pay... as long you are appointed as a CPL/SGT/INSP or ASP.... you will be getting the pay stated in http://www.spf.gov.sg/career/index.html..... anytime, anywhere... unless you are promoted of cos...
  
  3) as for the intake, its all lies with the HQ.... usually is monthly... but sometimes one month might have more people, sometimes will have less or even nil.....
  
  4) as for how long you will have to wait.... it should be seven working days... but i will always advise those who are keen to join the SPF to send in application about twice a month to "bug" them.... =P

  u mean the possibility is v low when i want to apply? my studies will end in 3mths time, is it possible to send application now?

  nope..you cant apply now..the possibility is well always there.. there is no such thing as very low possibility unless you want to be president..hahaha

  i thinking of joining spf but i in pes E graded can join a not like that?

  PES E, i doubt you can join as they require at least a PES B. Unless you upgrade your PES status.
