When is TRACOM moving?

Any idea when is TRACOM moving? Been hearing news since 2000 but well, it's still at Thomson Road.

it is moving somewhere next year to the new site in CCK... it is going to be called LEAS or something like that... you can go see the buildings.. it is the near police K9 unit there...if go down by KJE can see....... Now all must squeeze into the bus with the army personnel whose camps are also there.. JIALAT man

The last time we saw the site, it looks less then 50% complete. -
ever wondered why those twerps changed it to "Training Command" when most of the world still remains as "Police Academy" .. ?

Agreed loh.....I live in Hougang, and I actually commute to PA/TRACOM/LEARS/Whatever very frequently. If they want to move now, they jolly well build an MRT line below the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve from AMK to Bukit Panjang first!

Something better be done to make the place more accessible. There's only a 2 laned road( one for each direction) that links it to civilisation.
Correct me if I'm wrong, I think only bus 175 plys along that stretch. -

err, its 172, from CCK to BOON LAY and vice versa.

Oh well, I remember passing by the site some 2 months ago. Just discovered there is a small section on the LEARS thing in the spf intranet.
Seems like it is still "on schedule" leh...because the schedule seems rather long in the first place anyway. -

SAF seems to have alot of $$$ sending all their trainees from Tekong to Pasir Ris MRT at least. -
