I would be grateful if you guys would answer some questions I have about signing on as a Senior Officer.
1) What is the BOC course like? Any particular points anybody would like to raise?
2) At what age will a senior officer have to leave the service?
3) What are the promotion prospects? Is it fast, is it slow?
4) What is a Rota Commander?
I have read the career website on the SCDF web page but I donÂ’t have a real idea about the nature of the job. What are its pros and cons?
I think being a fireman is a very noble job, I think its very noble to risk your life to save another person.
Any comments and advice are welcomed.
