Officers from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) fire post in Pasir Ris earned the plaudits of STOMPer Geraldine after they rushed out to help the two motorcyclists who were injured in an accident at a junction nearby last evening (Aug 31).
The STOMPer wrote:
"There was an accident at the junction of Pasir Ris Drive 1 & Drive 6 at around 6.45pm last evening (Aug 31).
"This is an accident prone junction.
"I was below my block when I suddenly heard a loud bang, so I went over to take a look at what happened.
"When I got there, I saw that a motorcycle had collided into a car, and that the couple riding it were injured.
"The woman was flung quite a distance away from the motorcycle.
"Thankfully,
SCDF officers from the nearby Pasir Ris Fire Post came rushing out to
help, and got the woman to the side of the road so as to not obstruct
traffic.
"They also helped to direct traffic.
"If I'm not wrong, the couple were injured but conscious, and were then taken away in an ambulance."
