Can teach me???

Can someone teach me how to write good poem? i only learn it in sec 1 and 2, just very bad at it. I am really willing to learn how to write like all of u did in here.

usually is innate.......
i guess probably can trigger.....get the gist of it
mus expand vocabulary......
last time in sch teacher say good poets/writers mus have extreme feelings....either lots of love or lots of anger/hatred....then u will have the strong feelings and pen them down......
(eer....based on chinese literature hor.....dunno if it's applicable to ang moh ones) -
Starts with simple thing loh. Maybe talk about things around you. Of course if you are serious about this, you can experiment with things like metaphor, imagery, direct speech, sentence's length, monologue, etc.

the technical parts like language, vocab, metaphors etc can be learnt... but one thing you must explore on your own is to be more sensitive to your emotions, feelings... happy is not just happy... think of why you're happy, how you can describe your state of happiness... once you come up with ways to describe your emotions instead of just saying happy... you're on your way to build images into your expressions and put them into poems...
like DP said..read, write and practice... and start with simple things first... when you are more confident then go into things like rhythm, pace, rhyme... tats where the technical details like iambic pentameter comes in... kekeke -

basically, poem is about chosing the right words to express...
try writing a passage of less than 70 words about a theme. But change and edit the words so that everyword has a purpose
