Something I've Learnt

This is a real-life story tt I wld usu share in Agony Aunt, but since I've been made Mod, then I hafta be abit the pian1 xin1
There're a few pple I noe, who're the kinda pple who'll immediately think the worst when u mention somethg. A harmless remark can be misconstrued to mean somethg bad, a harmless gesture can be misintepreted as somethg nasty or a slight towards them.
Lately, I've found tt I can't tolerate this anymore, cosh being near this kinda pple may actually rub off on me. I dowan to end up being like them, cosh I've seen how they're like. They're never happee, they're always angry, they never feel contented nor satisfied.
I dunno if any of u haf met this kinda folkz, but then, I'd rather lead a happee & simple life. Those who matter to me will noe they do. Life is simpler tt way, & happier : ) And I'd rather be wif happee pple : )

Six humans trapped by happenstance
In black and bitter cold.
Each one possessed a stick of wood,
Or so the story's told.
Their dying fire in need of logs,
The first woman held hers back
For on the faces around the fire,
She noticed one was black.
The next man looking cross the way
Saw one not of his church,
And couldn't bring himself to give
The fire his stick of birch.
The third man sat in tattered clothes;
He gave his coat a hitch.
Why should his log be put to use
To warm the idle rich?
The rich man just sat back and thought
Of the wealth he had in store.
And how to keep what he had earned
From the lazy poor.
The black man's face bespoke revenge
As the fire passed from his sight,
For all he saw in his stick of wood
Was a chance to spite the white.
And the last man of this forlorn group
Did naught except for gain.
Giving only to those who gave
Was how he played the game.
The logs held tight in death's still hands
Was proof of human sin.
They didn't die from the cold without,
They died from the cold within.
such pple cud b view s d worst.....
but personally, i'd prefer dem 2 someone who says nth but smile...den stik a knife in ur back!!!

Not sez'g tt those pple I mentioned r the worst.
It's juz tt I've come to realise tt hanging ard those who misintepret ev. gesture & thg sez'd to be bad (Not juz I gana, lotsa pple gana from them oredi) is v. exhausting, cosh I hafta watch wat I sez, watch wat I do, etc.
It's ezier to distance myself if tt's the case, cosh going out wif frens is supposed to be enjoyable, Not tiring.
Accela, sometimes it might be tt u're afraid tt pple r sez'g thgs abt u, & it makes u wary. U can actually condition urself to Not care. That way, u'll be much happier : )
When u're @ peace wif urself, it'll influence ur thots, ur beliefs & ur attitudes. From there, u'll be serene & happee most of the time...

Two frogs fell into a deep cream bowl.
Only one was an optimistic soul.
But the other took the gloomy view.
"We'll drown," he lamented without much ado,
and with a last despairing cry,
he flung up his legs and said "Goodbye."
Quote the other frog with a steadfast grin,
"I can't get out but I won't give in,
I'll just swim around till my strength is spent,
then I'll die the more content."
Bravely he swam to work his scheme,
and his struggles began to churn the cream.
The more he swam, his legs a flutter,
the more the cream turned into butter.
On top of the butter at last he stopped,
and out of the bowl he proudly hopped.
What is the moral? It's easily found...
If you can't hop out, keep swimming around! lolx

Nah, thankfully Not tt many, less than 5
Juz tt I've decided to distance myself cosh it's really tiring. I've tried to help them, & make them happier, but it's proving v. hard & too exhausting a process. U can't help those who dowan to be helped, unfortunately
I like this story. It illustrates how an optimistic view can save one's soul : )

It depends on the person?
And the circumstances.
Listen to both sides, & come to a conclusion. Then perhaps it'll be a better decision. In my case, both sides haf been heard. And tt's how I came to a decision.
