wat will be the range of money be like to get married, throw wedding etc???
i know that the more wil be merrier, but at least guide me the minimum range

Too many factors to give an answer... what kind of dinner do you have in mind, restaurant or hotel? How many tables?
Restaurant rates start from 400 per table
Hotels from about 600 onwards to over a thousand

i will choose go to an island somewhere with a beautiful beach and a church...

lets say table is at $500 or $600 per table....
then each person gives $60 or $80 when they come (even number ang pao),
10 person per table.
therefore, 1 table you earn $100, 20 tables you earn $2000. then minus ownself bought liquors, etc...you normally get $1000.
BUT ..... if you invite family types....so lets say 1 family 2 kids (pri5-6 or sec1-4), 1 wife, 1 husband, they give a big ang pao of $120 or $140.
seats taken still 4, so for 20 tables = 200 seats +-
so if assuming u get 50 families of these, you get $120x50=$6000.
then never earn anything...and minus money spent of liquor, so u lost maybe a few hundred bucks.

It all depends on what each couple and their family wants. The typical expenditure would be photo shoot, wedding dinner, ceremony of different dialect group etc etc....
The above does not take into account if say you want to buy a flat and renovate it. For me wedding related about 10K cuz I only open a few tables in restaurant spore and 20+ tables in msia. There also no got car go her house pi pi all is done with low profile. The majority money are saved for my house renovation which reno + furniture about 45K.
So my focus is on house cuz I know I live and see it everyday unlike wedding expense only one time then gone liao bo hua. Honeymoon also no go except if you count go her mother hse in msia as holiday? Photo shoot go msia shoot also cheaper if assume you do currency conversion.

damn...getting married is an expensive affair nowadays...but for wedding dinner, I just want to invite a few relatives who are close to me and my ai ai, don't need to waste money inviting those distant ones that I have not talked to for years
