Does your superior fight for you or against you?

i detest some of the dept heads because the fact that they always argue with consideration of only their dept.
however, placing myself in the shoes of their subordinates, this is the superior i would prefer to find myself working under, rather than having a boss who always push his/her blame to me.

superior fight for subordinates ...bt they also need to protect themselves.....then the top management will all blame the small fry...
