my colleague has a fren who works near tat building..she mention sumting like a crane dropped..then the building caved in...nt v sure..n there were many ambulances..v scary scene she said

2 workers confirmed dead, 29 injured in Singapore worksite accident

SINGAPORE : The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) confirmed two workers dead and 29 others injured in a construction site accident at Ayer Rajah Avenue on Thursday.
Eleven injured workers were taken to the National University Hospital.
Another 15 workers, most with minor injuries, have been sent to the Singapore General Hospital.
Three other workers - two Bangladeshis and a Thai - were taken to Alexandra Hospital. They were later discharged.
SCDF said the workers were working on a six-storey steel girder when it collapsed into the basement of the building. The building is next to the INSEAD Institute along Ayer Rajah Avenue One.
SCDF said the collapse site was a sqaure of about 200 by 200 metres, and 30 metres deep.
Rescue officers are continuing their search for the missing workers believed to be pinned under the steel beams.
In a statement, JTC said the cause of the collapse was still unknown at this moment, and search and rescue efforts by SCDF are currently underway at the site.
The project is owned by JTC Corporation, the project manager is Jurong Consultants Pte Ltd and the contractor is Greatearth United Engineers JV.
JTC reiterates that the incident was not linked to the Circle Line construction.
Last week, the collapse of a temporary wall at an MRT construction site caused a road section along Nicoll Highway to cave in, leaving four people dead. - CNA -
