No telecast of Commonwealth Games on MediaCorp TV

  SINGAPORE : MediaCorp TV will not telecast the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games on its television platforms, due to high telecast rights, satellite charges, and the lack of sponsors.
  
  But sports fans will still be able to catch news coverage of the events on MediaCorp's television and radio stations, as well as in the Today newspaper.
  
  The Commonwealth Games will be held in Melbourne from March 15 to March 26. - CNA/de

  dont think they will show world cup as well (not until the semi finals), wait long long for mediacorp to show the group stages matches.
