Which teams do you think will face off in the curtain-raiser for the Uefa season? My guess is Sporting Lisbon and AC Milan, but there is no guarantee Liverpool and CSKA Moscow will feature.

CSKA are crowned Uefa Cup champions following their 3-1 win over Sporting in Lisbon. It bodes well for Russian football in the 2006/07 season.

Great news that CSKA won the cup.. Its time for Eastern European clubs to get noticed and try get their players to stay in their clubs instead of losing them to other leagues..

So far, the Czechs are showing much promise this season. They have an automatic place in the UCL. I think that is fair. Like I have discussed with other people in other forum, champions should get automatic places. And 4th place teams shouldnt even be there. I guess its all about money.
