I've found most of the people that I talk to at sgForums quite nice and I've added a few Singaporean contacts on MSN.
Kuali Baba/Nick is a friend of mine(we've never met) from some other forums and he told me and some others about sgF. He thought I might like it and he was right.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I tend to think that the sense of humour is different due to individual differences. But there are some jokes/topics which are very localised, as in ppl in the M'sia/Sg region would understand very well e.g. your post about "Marriage shd be about love and not education" in Chit Chat - that is clearly a cultural difference, although the mindsets are changing.

Kuali Baba chats in Club30 which is where I chat too....maybe I'll get to meet him at the forthcoming gathering. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoy Sgforum. Cheers!
