Malaysian man charged with murder of 8-year-old Huang Na

SINGAPORE : 22-year-old vegetable seller Took Leng How has been charged with the murder of 8-year-old Huang Na on Monday.
He was accused of causing her death on 10th October between 1.40pm and 10 pm at Block 15 of the Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre.
The Malaysian, clad in a red t-shirt and dark shorts, was calm as his case came up for mention in the Subordinate Courts this morning.
He's being represented by lawyer Chung Ping Shen, who was hired by his family members late yesterday.
His parents are expected to come to Singapore over the next few days.
Also in court today was a visibly upset Huang Na's mother, Madam Huang Shuying.
She was accompanied by 2 friends.
Took, who fled the country on 21st October, surrendered to Malaysian police on Saturday and brought back to Singapore the same night.
Just hours after being questioned by Singapore police, the badly decomposed body of a girl, believed to that of Huang Na's, was found stuffed in a box, in thick undergrowth at Telok Blangah Hill Park.
Huang Na, a China national, had been reported missing since 10th October. - CNA -

Vegetable seller can go to NUS to study Social Work......benefit society next time............ I think NUS used to have a lecturer who molested little boys..... he fled the country when the cops wanted to interview him.......he is probably now teaching or practising in some other country....... -

Crowd packs courtroom for glimpse of accused in Huang Na murder case
SINGAPORE : About a hundred people turned up at the Subordinate Courts on Monday to catch a glimpse of Took Leng How, the man who has been charged with the murder of 8-year-old girl, Huang Na. But many were turned away, as the court was packed.
Took made a brief three-minute appearance in the dock, wearing the same red polo shirt, dark blue bermudas and slippers that he did last week.
The Court heard that investigations were not complete yet and the accused was soon led back into police custody.
That means even Took's lawyer was not able to meet his client to take instructions. Those who didn't make it into the courtroom, however, managed to get a view of Took's parents, who came from Penang.
They left the court straight after they heard that their son's case would be mentioned again this Friday. Took's father had earlier told Malaysian press that his son was innocent, or he would not have turned himself in to the police. - CNA -

Took Leng How to undergo another 3 weeks of psychiatric tests
SINGAPORE : Malaysian Took Leng How - charged with the murder of 8-year-old Huang Na - will undergo another 3 weeks of psychiatric investigation before his case is heard.
His defence lawyer Chung Ping Shen said that the psychiatrist had requested for another 3 weeks to examine him.
Took's case will be mentioned again on 30th December. - CNA -
aiya singapore govt scare one la.... this ah hao is a malaysian den sg govt scare of offending our neighbouring country sure be lenient with him one.... singapore always say security very good la... custom very difficult to get thorugh very high security system....but ah hao can escaped to malaysia when sg police is tracking down on him... how he pass the custom? to mean they actually let a wanted person through the country... moreover after this incident, the police track down that huang na's mother, huang shuying is a repeated offender who always violate of immigration laws... her foreign pass expired yet she was still staying in singapore... reported by the police after tracking down her record... but singapore govt say they only issue her a warning... haiz... why r we so timid... scare of offending everyone so pleasing everyone....... this huang shuying... before the funeral say she wan to donate the bai jin to the charity... after funeral received too much money, dun bear to part with it dun wan to donate alredy... pui!! pui!! pui!!
