SINGAPORE : The S.League will have a new team for the 2005 season.
Paya Lebar Kovan Football Club (PLKFC) joins nine other clubs to vie for the S.League Championships.
It is the first new local team to enter the S.League since Gombak United FC and Marine Castle FC in 1998.
Paya Lebar Kovan FC is a Hougang-based constituency sports club which will use the Hougang Stadium as their home ground for the next season.
The nine other clubs in the S.League consists of seven local clubs and two foreign teams from China and Japan.
Another local team, Planet FC, is applying to participate in the S.League next season. - CNA
