Suspect shot in attempted robbery at Maybank's Singapore bra

SINGAPORE: A man was shot by a Cisco guard after an attempted robbery at the Maybank on Upper Bukit Timah Road on Tuesday.
The suspect has been sent to hospital.
No other information is immediately available.
But eye witnesses said they heard a gun shot at about at 1.30pm.
Channel NewsAsia's Ken Teh reporting from the scene said he saw blood splattered on the glass panel of the bank.

SINGAPORE : A man was shot by a Cisco guard after an attempted robbery at the Maybank branch in Goh and Goh Building at Upper Bukit Timah Road on Tuesday afternoon.
Sources say he was armed with a gun.
Witnesses say the doctor from a nearby clinic rendered medical assistance to the man.
He was later sent to hospital.
Police have confirmed two shots were fired in the upper body.

SINGAPORE : A 43-year-old man has been critically shot by a Cisco officer after an attempted armed robbery at the Maybank in Upper Bukit Timah Road.
Police say the suspect entered the bank at 1.35pm with his face masked with a piece of cloth and wearing a jungle hat.
He grabbed a male customer by the neck and pointed a weapon at his face, yelling "Robbery" in Hokkien (Pak Chiow).
The Cisco guard on duty fired two rounds at the robber, seriously hurting him.
Channel NewsAsia understands he was hit in the head and on the shoulder.
No one else was injured.
The suspect had been operated on at the National University Hospital and is said to be in critical condition.
Investigations are still ongoing.
Maybank says this is the first attempted robbery on the branch in all its 43 years of operation in Singapore (since 1961).
