SINGAPORE : DBS says it will open another Authorised Trading Centre or ATC to handle the continuing strong demand for the service.
The lender has been seeing a growing number of investors seeking to use the its lone-remaining ATC at its Shenton Way branch.
The ATC facility - set up in 11 years ago - allows small investors with no trading accounts to sell their SingTel A and SingTel 2 shares.
In response to the huge demand, DBS appealed to the Singapore Exchange for the service to be extended.
The SGX has agreed.
The ATC facility was originally supposed to be closed on December 30th.
The new ATC facility will open on Thursday at its Newton Building along Bukit Timah Road. - CNA
Post notes: SingTel is NOT the 1st utility share to be listed
These ppl could have opened an account like when they gave shares for the 1st utility share listing in 1978
