SINGAPORE : Experts at an anti-virus software provider, Sophos, have discovered a computer virus that poses as a plea for donations to help with the Indian Ocean tsunami disaster.
They say the virus, known as VBSun A Worm, spreads via e-mail as an attachment.
Once the file is opened, the virus will launch a denial of service attack against a German hacking website.
The virus will also be forwarded to other Internet users.
The company has warned against opening e-mails with the subject line, "Tsunami Donation, Please Help!" that comes with an attachment, tsunami.exe. - CNA
