SINGAPORE : Visitors to Singapore can look forward to a month of promotions this Lunar New Year at the Orchard Road Carpark Glutton Square.
The promotions range from trying the Fa Chai Yu Sheng (the Lunar New Year Raw Fish dish) for only 8 dollars to free Ice Kachang (or iced balls) for those borne in the Year of the Rooster.
There will also be lion dance performances and ang pow giveaways.
These treats can be redeemed using coupons from promotional flyers available at the Singapore Visitors Centre.
Tourists who join the Hippo tours can also get free Ice Kachang by showing their tour tickets.
The Gluttons Square was originally a month-long event for the Singapore Food Festival in July 2004 but was extended till end of this month (February) due to overwhelming response.
Winners for the Ang Pow giveaways will receive S$88 each and the hourly draw takes place on the 8,9 and 10th February from 11pm to 3am.
The Lion Dance Performances will be staged on the 8 to 13 February and 15 to 23 February at 6.30pm. - CNA
