SINGAPORE : Lunar New Year sees some pampered pooches being dressed up in their best for the festivities.
A traditional cheongsam top comes in small, large and medium.
They are not for toddlers but for the family pet!
"What? This is for a dog?"
"For a dog? Dogs wear clothes?"
All this canine finery comes from Canada, Korea and the United States - and each outfit can cost up to $50.
And if you don't think your pooch is pampered enough, you can fork out some more for sparkly collars and hair clips.
Ms Alicia Seah, Owner of PetzStuff, said: "Nowadays we look upon them as our own children, so we pamper them a lot, so we want them to celebrate the festive season with us so we bring the clothes in for Christmas and New Year.
"I would say our market is quite good, similar to the ones in Japan and Korea. Because we really dote on them like they are part of the family. I would say dogs in Singapore are really more fortunate now."
Some of Alicia's customers have even spent up to $200 getting their pups ready for the Lunar New Year. - CNA
