Several fires broke out on Thursday with the first at Punggol Port Road about the size of 5 football fields.
Civil Defence officers were at the scene with 1 fire engine, 1 rhino and 1 firebike.
And at Lim Chu Kang - officers are fighting a fire at Lanes 5 and 6 about the size of 8 football fields.
6 fire engines have been despatched to the scene and at the moment no one has been injured or evacuated from their homes.
Officers are also trying to bring a fire about the size of 5 football fields under control at Lanes 6C and F in Lim Chu Kang.
While presently none of the farms have been affected, the recent dry spell has left some farmers in Lim Chu Kang high and dry.
The farmers have been collecting rain water for irrigation but with plunging water levels, the owner of one lotus pond worries his flowers may perish when the pond dries up.
The farmer has been recycling water but says only a downpour could save his plants.
Farmers are also worried about bush fires, fearing they'd have no water to fight the fire with. - CNA
