SINGAPORE : The Malaysian Minister for Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry, Tan Sri Dato' Haji Muhyiddin bin Mohamed Yassin, is in Singapore on a three-day working visit from Thursday.
He leads a 21-member delegation, which includes officials from the Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute, the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Veterinary Services.
The National Development Ministry says the visit will provide an opportunity to explore ways to deepen bilateral ties and cooperation in agriculture, as well as exchange views on encouraging investment in agricultural projects.
On Thursday, Mr Muhyiddin met National Development Development Minister Mah Bow Tan.
He will call on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Friday.
During the visit, the Malaysian delegation will hold discussions with the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority and Temasek Holdings.
They will also visit Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory and Singapore Airport Terminal Services. - CNA
