Lonely chemist advertises at bus-stops in search for a wife

SINGAPORE : These days flyers advertising tuition or houses for rent are common in MRT stations and bus stops.
But there are also more unusual advertisements.
Chemist Phua Choon Seng, 54, who is looking for a wife, put up his advertisements in the Outram Park and Ang Mo Kio stations.
And they are very specific about what qualities his future spouse should have.
Mr Phua said he tried this method of finding love in the city before, but it did not quite work out for him.
Only 10 people replied to his advertisements, but he is not giving up so easily.
"She has to be between 21 and 40, so she can have babies. And she should also be financially independent, so if I die she can bring up the kids herself," he said. - CNA -
