SINGAPORE : The rain has helped improve the air quality across the island.
Overall, the PSI level on Monday was 44, well within the 'good' range.
The National Environement Agency says February has been one of the driest months - where substantially below-average rainfall was recorded across the island.
Much of the rainfall collected came from showers in the last few days of the month.
Central Singapore around Peirce Reservoir saw the highest rainfall of 105 to 130mm.
But this was still 15 to 30 percent below average.
Eastern Singapore was the driest - with just 10 to 30mm of rainfall recorded.
That is up to 95 percent below the average rainfall in February.
The weatherman expects the coming fortnight to be generally wetter than in February with widespread showers likely early in the morning on some days.
The public can also expect brief periods of slightly hazy conditions on a few days. - CNA
