The chiefs of three departments in the Singapore Police Force will change from April 1st.
Eric Tan, the current Director of the Central Narcotics Bureau, will be moved to the Immigrations and Checkpoints Authority as Commissioner.
Mr Tan is not new to the immigrations department.
When it was still called the Singapore Immigration and Registration, he was its Deputy Director in 1998 before being appointed the Deputy Director of the CNB and later its Director.
The current Commissioner of the ICA Lock Wai Han will be the new Director of the Criminal Investigation Department.
Mr Lock, a Singapore Police Force overseas scholar, held various positions in the police force before moving to the Immigrations Department.
He was commander of Jurong Police Division as well as Deputy Director of Operations before.
The current CID chief Ng Seng Liang will fill the post of Central Narcotics Bureau Director.
Mr Ng has been with the police force for 29 years and held several major postings such as Head of Investigations and the Director of Manpower.
