SINGAPORE : The mother of the dead baby who was found in a rubbish chute at Toa Payoh on Sunday has been charged with infanticide.
Twenty-three-year-old Koh Kailin is accused of having caused the death of her day-old baby daughter by placing her inside a plastic bag and throwing it down an 18th floor rubbish chute.
Koh, who is said to have been mentally disturbed and not fully recovered from childbirth at the time of the incident, has been remanded at the Institute of Mental Health for psychiatric observation.
Her case will be heard again on 15 March.
