SINGAPORE : Engineers from the Housing and Development Board (HDB) and the Building Construction Authority (BCA) have completed the inspection on the structural safety of 23 buildings affected by the tremors on Sunday, police said.
They confirmed that the structure of all these buildings have not been affected by the tremors.
The inspections of these 23 affected buildings were done at 4.20am on Monday.
The buildings are mainly in the Punggol, Rochor and East Coast areas.
The Meteorological Services Department said the fresh earthquake occurred on Monday in Sumatra, leading to tremors being detected in several parts of Singapore at 1.30am.
It said the latest earthquake measured 6.0 on the Richter scale and the location is approximately 400km to 500km from Singapore.
Residents are urged to inform the building authorities immediately if cracks do develop as a result of these tremors.
