SINGAPORE: Top cyber gamers from all over the world will gather in Singapore this November for the annual World Cyber Games 2005 - the equivalent of the Olympics for cyber athletes.
You can watch the event live on MediaCorp TV's Channel U and TV mobile.
Organisers of the Games on Wednesday signed an agreement to broadcast the event with MediaCorp TV's Chief Executive Officer Madam Chua Foo Yong.
Daily one-hour broadcasts of the international event will see some 800 gamers from 70 countries pitting their skills against each other in PC games like Warcraft 3 and Counterstrike as well as Xbox games like Halo 2.
Last year, Singapore's very own Counterstrike cyber team outplayed expectations and shot their way to 5th position at the World Cyber Games held in San Francisco in October. - CNA/ir
