SINGAPORE : MPs have filed a wide range of questions for the next Parliament sitting on May 16, several relating to protecting youths from sex offenders.
These include asking for stiffer penalties for those who openly solicit for sex from youths, and for Singaporeans who engage in sex with minors overseas.
Other questions relate to the proposed fare hike by public transport operators, the status of national security strategic framework and the review of the Eldershield scheme.
Amendments to the Parliamentary Elections Bill and Presidential Elections Bill will also be debated. - CNA /ct
