SINGAPORE : Britain's Queen Elizabeth II will make a state visit to Singapore in March next year.
A statement from the British High Commission in Singapore said the visit would follow her trip to Australia, where she will open the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
Queen Elizabeth II last visited Singapore in 1989 and next March's visit will be her third to Singapore.
She had announced in London on Wednesday that she had accepted an invitation from Singapore's President S.R. Nathan to visit the Republic.
The British High Commission said her programme would be announced later. - CNA/de
