SINGAPORE : This year's National Day Rally on August 21 will start earlier, at 6.45pm instead of 8pm as in previous years.
The Prime Minister's Office says Mr Lee Hsien Loong will speak first in Malay and Chinese.
There will then be a short break, after which Prime Minister Lee will continue with his speech in English at 8pm.
The rally will be held at the University Cultural Centre, National University of Singapore in Kent Ridge Crescent.
It will be covered live on MediaCorp television channels and radio stations.
The Malay speech will be aired on Suria at 6.45pm, with English subtitles on Channel 5 and TV Mobile.
There will be Mandarin voice-over on Channels 8 and U and Tamil voice-over on Vasantham Central.
The speech in Chinese will be telecast on Channels 8 and U at 7pm, with English voice-over on Channel 5 and TV Mobile, Malay voice-over on Suria and Tamil voice-over on Vasantham.
The English speech at 8pm will be aired on Channel 8, TV Mobile and Channel NewsAsia.
The Mandarin voice-over will be on Channels 8 and U, Malay voice-over on Suria and Tamil voice-over on Vasantham.
Highlights of the Prime Minister's Rally Speech will be summarised into a one-hour programme and telecast on Channel 8, Suria and Vasantham on Wednesday August 24 and on Channel 5 on Thursday August 25.
